Why you are losing it and how it gets fixed

A number without a reason is just something to feel bad about. This is the part where the gap turns into a list of things to build, in the order they should be built.

The reasons are usually boring

People expect the answer to be exotic. It almost never is. The most common reason a business loses its market is that the pages people are searching for do not exist on its website. Somebody types ac not cooling upstairs and there is nothing on your site that answers that, so Google has nothing to show them. Meanwhile a competitor wrote that page three years ago and has been taking those calls ever since.

The rest of the list is similarly unglamorous. The site takes eight seconds to load on a phone, and the customer with a flooding basement does not wait eight seconds. There is no way to book without calling during business hours, so the evening searches go elsewhere. The service pages are one paragraph long and say we pride ourselves on quality. Google cannot rank what is not there, and a customer cannot hire what they cannot find.

What you get, and what you keep

You get the reasons, specific to your site, ranked by how much of your gap each one is costing you. Then you get a build plan that closes them in order, so the pages worth the most get built first.

The plan is yours to keep whether or not you ever hire us to build it. You can hand it to your nephew, your current agency, or nobody at all. We would rather you have a map of your own market and walk away than sign up for something you did not need.

Find your first missing page

Write down the five questions customers ask you most often on the phone, in their words. Now search your own website for each one.

Every question you cannot find an answer to on your own site is a page that does not exist, and a search you cannot win. That list is the beginning of the plan, and you just made it for free.

See your own numbers

The Complete Digital Audit answers all four of these with data from your own market, then goes wider into site speed, reputation, local listings, and the competitors taking your searches, and ends in a plan to close the gap. It's $1,500.
