How much of that searching you win
Google your own business name and you will find yourself. That is the one search you are guaranteed to win, and it is the one search that brings you nothing.
Ranking for your own name proves nothing
This is the most common false comfort we run into. An owner types their company name into Google, sees themselves at the top, and concludes they are doing fine online. But the people searching your company name already know your company name. They got it from a truck, a neighbor, a yard sign, or an invoice from three years ago. They were always going to reach you. That search only routed business you had already earned.
The searches that grow a business are the ones where the customer does not know who you are yet. They have a broken furnace and a phone, and they type the problem. Those are the searches that decide who gets the job, and those are the ones we measure.
Your capture rate
We take the demand number from step one and set your actual results against it, using your own Google Search Console data. We strip out every search for your brand, because those flatter the numbers and teach you nothing. What is left is your position in your market.
The result is a percentage. Out of everyone who went looking for your service last month, this many found you. For most businesses that come to us it lands in the low single digits, and seeing it written down is a quiet, unpleasant moment. It is also the most useful number they have ever been handed, because everything after it is fixable.
Check it yourself in Search Console
If you have Google Search Console set up, open the Performance report and add a query filter that excludes your business name. Everything remaining is your non brand traffic, the traffic you won on merit.
Most owners find that number is a small fraction of what they assumed. If you do not have Search Console at all, that is its own answer, and it is the first thing we set up.

The Complete Digital Audit answers all four of these with data from your own market, then goes wider into site speed, reputation, local listings, and the competitors taking your searches, and ends in a plan to close the gap. It's $1,500.
